1. General information
The subject should allow students to learn about the different artistic styles, techniques and working methods in Art History. Students must be able to recognize the different methods of artistic analysis as well as achieve a basic knowledge of the artistic realities of the past that will allow them to foster their own creativity through autonomous learning. In the same way, students should develop a correct oral and written communication in artistic terms. This subject should develop their capacity for analysis, synthesis, organization and planning.

2. Learning results
The learning results obtained with this subject are considered of great importance for the training of the students since they include:
Ability to identify and understand the problems of art. To establish the aspects of art that generate creative processes.
Ability to produce and relate ideas within the creative process.
Communication skills. Learning to translate artistic ideas in order to transmit them.
Ability to present complex artistic problems and projects orally and in writing with clarity.
Ability to collaborate with other disciplines. Development of relationship and exchange channels with other fields of knowledge.
Ability to document artistic production. To use the necessary tools and resources to contextualize and explain one's own artistic work.
Ability to carry out artistic projects with social and media repercussion. To use the resources for the dissemination of artistic projects in order to enhance their social impact.
Ability to carry out and integrate artistic projects in a broader context. To develop strategies for the projection of artistic creation beyond its field of action.
Ability for an adequate presentation of artistic projects. To know how to communicate artistic projects in diversified contexts.

4. Academic activities
The program of academic formative activities for students to achieve the expected learning results is as follows:
1)Theoretical classes: oral presentations by the teachers of the theoretical contents of the subject in the classroom (lectures).
2) Practical classes (in the classroom or outside the classroom with the teacher). They will consist of:
-Commentary and analysis of the fundamental works of art of the subject.
-Commentary and analysis of sources and texts.
-Some practical visits may be scheduled.
3) Personal study.
4) Tutoring
5) Performance of the evaluation tests.
5. Assessment system
Continuous assessment
Students who actively attend at least 85% of the classes and the proposed activities may be evaluated continuously throughout the term according to the following scale:
- Theoretical objective tests. One for each content block of the subject. Each one of them will represent 15% of the final grade, thus obtaining 90% of the total of the final grade. To pass the subject it will be necessary to obtain at least a grade of 5 points out of 10 in each of the tests.
- Preparation of classroom work, text commentaries, commentaries on historical videos or films viewed in the classroom, participation in group activities. (10% of the final grade)
Global assessment.
The overall test model will consist of the development of a total of 6 questions, one for each content block of the general syllabus. To pass the test it will be necessary to obtain at least a grade of 5 points out of 10 in each of the questions. To obtain the final grade, the grades for each question will be added together and divided by 6.

GLOBAL TEST
All students are entitled to a global test to pass the subject or to improve the grade obtained Students attending the exam must be punctual on the day and at the time indicated in the exam notice, otherwise they will be considered as "No Show".
SECOND CALL
The evaluation in the second call, to which all students who have not passed the subject will be entitled, will be carried out by means of a global test to be taken during the period established for this purpose by the Governing Council in the academic calendar
